Fun fact about me: I like writing Ekphrastic poems. I haven’t for a while but I cleaned out my desk today and found old poems and critiques from a poetry class I took freshman year. My favorite poems happen to be inspired by vintage photos like this one.

i need to get out of my apartment.

but first i need to get out of bed.

just found out socially inept roommate will be around during graduation weekend, i figured she would go home to her overbearing parents. you know what would make that super hectic weekend about a thousand times less fun, assuming it’s even still happening? if when my family gets here she’s been on the couch for 72 hours straight and hasn’t changed clothes or cleaned up her stuff or showered and she makes the entire apartment smell like BO and stale popcorn. because i bet you all 20 bucks right now that’s what she will do.

so i would really like to not be around her right now because it’s just a reminder of the impending catastrophic stress storm that will be brewing for the next 2 weeks.

i’m debating about texting the girl i hung out with last night and seeing if she wants to hang out tonight but that might be weird or something, i don’t know.
